Here are some PHOTOS of various things we hope to be working on… You will also find a list of items to “Start Saving” along with a list of items to “Dig Out.” Hopefully, this will help you prep a little as we plan out some FUN!!! Check out the pics:
Matthew 2:9-11 says,
“After this interview the wise men went their way. And the star they had seen in the east guided them to Bethlehem. It went ahead of them and stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”
Had such a fun time turning this cardboard box into a faux basket. It has a reinforced bottom that I sealed… The box is wrapped in twine (I’d use a better quality twine in the future). You could also make a removable and washable fabric liner. Here’s the fun part… Making a liner without sewing! Fusible sewing tape!!! How’s that for a quick and easy option when putting together a larger gift basket, when you don’t have an extra $60 laying around to purchase a basket, but would still like to present something beautiful? The great part is, the twine makes the box stronger than a basket! So, it’s not that it just a disposable item. It’s reusable year after year.
When forcing Paperwhite Narcissus, you will have blooms within 3 to 4 weeks from planting them. We’ll do it together! Oh, and this is another thing I use Vodka in. It may sound like an old world myth… but wait and see. You won’t have wobbly paperwhites!
These coasters are made with tumbled marble tiles, napkins, modge podge, cork, and few touches here and there. We try and make these part of our Craft List too.
This is another project that I thoroughly enjoyed doing last Christmas. It was simple, but gratifying!
If we get around to it, and there’s been enough interest generated to merit the effort… We may make another (but different) Stick Lamp.
Stick Lamp is my buddy. He was a figment of my imagination, and the Grebe was able to somehow understand my lousy description and still create Stick Lamp exactly how I imagined him to be. He will always be my favorite. Someone bought him from us for $90. I was sad. The Grebe was glad. The End.
So, there we have it!
Check out the video I made for you all…
And DON’T forget… IF you want to be entered to win a Autographed Copy of Tyrone Well’s “The Christmas Album”
(Singer featured on the video) be sure to go to the blog post with the actual video and either “like” it or “leave a reply” so that you’ll be entered! Fun! Fun!! There needs to be 50 people involved for the free CD to be sent out.
