Got my Cedar Tree Clippings, Oasis, and Clippers…
These rad clippers belonged to my grandpa. He passed them on to my dad, and my dad passed them on to me. They are my favorite and most used tool that I own!
This mercury glass vase is such a rad find!
I figured out where I want the tree to go and cut the mini trunk.
Looks about right to me.
Got my silver paint and my fake snow. I also grabbed my spray adhesive, but I forgot to photograph it.
I couldn’t take pictures of myself spraying this, so we’ll just have to pretend. I sprayed the tips… and a bit more with the silver paint. I then sprayed it with some adhesive, and sprinkled the fake snow onto it. It gave it a freshly flocked winter white look. I then put it back into the oasis. I poured some gravel in and around the oasis and up to the top. I sprayed the top of the gravel with silver paint and sprinkled it with the excess snow that had fallen onto the paper while I was flocking the tree. No wasting. =) Then I had a happy little tree in my new cheap vase that I got for a couple bucks. YAY!
Here’s our happy new tree set between my paperwhites that would have been bloomed by now if I had watered them. 😉
This has been our “We KNIT you a Merry Christmas with Brown Paper Packages tied up with String” Themed Christmas… and we’ve had a blast with it!
